API Advocate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Advocate for the company's APIs, explaining the possibilities for customers and third-party engineers.

• Showcase integrations and provide examples that simplify complex technical ideas.

• Investigate AI-assisted development methods to enhance API integration.

• Engage with customers and integration partners to discuss their challenges, ideas, and frustrations.

• Collaborate with internal engineering teams to identify and resolve integration issues.

• Convert customer feedback into actionable enhancements for the API.

• Recognize discrepancies between API features and customer requirements.

• Represent the customer's viewpoint in technical discussions.

• Assist customers in progressing from their initial API call to a successful integration.

• Develop practical examples, tutorials, documentation, and integration guides.

• Utilize AI coding tools to prototype integrations, troubleshoot issues, and present solutions.

• Identify and eliminate typical integration challenges.

• Enhance the experience of discovering, comprehending, and utilizing the APIs.

• Experiment with AI, LLMs, coding agents, APIs, vibe coding, and emerging engineering tools.

• Share insights, experiments, and ideas with both customers and colleagues.

• Contribute to shaping how AI influences customer interaction with the company's technology.

• Foster relationships among customers, the support team, and engineering teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Knowledge of APIs and related concepts such as REST, JSON, HTTP, authentication, and software integrations.

• Practical experience with APIs and integrations.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues.

• Confidence in utilizing AI-assisted coding tools to explore, develop, and test effective solutions.

• Experience in assisting customers with technical challenges.

• Ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.

• Capacity to collaborate with Engineering to devise solutions.

• Enthusiasm for tools like Cursor, Claude Code, ChatGPT, and other AI coding assistants.

• Curiosity, strong communication skills, enthusiasm, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• A mix of technical skills, customer-facing communication abilities, and a passion for helping others utilize technology.
