This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.
• Design and develop mobile features that function seamlessly across both Android and iOS platforms using modern C++.
• Create and implement new functionalities for an internal mobile browser kernel based on Chromium, with a focus on Android and iOS.
• Develop and integrate new features for an in-house mobile game engine utilizing OpenGL ES and native graphics technologies.
• Investigate and incorporate AI capabilities into mobile applications, such as on-device AI inference, large language models (LLMs), intelligent agents, and AI-enhanced user experiences.
• Design and optimize AI-related components for mobile and edge devices, concentrating on inference latency, memory consumption, CPU/GPU utilization, power efficiency, and overall user experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver features across Android, iOS, and shared C++ infrastructure.
• Integrate and leverage third-party data sources, AI services, SDKs, and APIs.
• Write and perform unit tests, including those for edge cases, usability, and reliability.
• Diagnose issues, resolve bugs, and enhance application performance, stability, and responsiveness.
• Maintain a balance between responsiveness, stability, efficiency, maintainability, and user experience in mobile systems.
• Over 8 years of robust software development experience, particularly in mobile or cross-platform development.
• Extensive experience in C++ development, with in-depth knowledge of C++14 and later versions.
• Strong grasp of cross-platform mobile development and the capability to work effectively on both Android and iOS platforms.
• Familiarity with Android internals, including SurfaceFlinger and the Android graphics/rendering pipeline, with the ability to comprehend relevant source code.
• Understanding of iOS system architecture and native development principles.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Linux memory management and experience with POSIX APIs.
• Good understanding of computer networking and experience in developing cross-platform applications using C++.
• Familiar with OpenGL/OpenGL ES fundamentals and mobile graphics rendering techniques.
• Basic knowledge of ARM architecture and assembly language is preferred.
• Solid understanding of contemporary AI architectures, particularly the Transformer architecture and core elements like attention mechanisms.
• Familiar with LLMs, AI agents, agentic workflows, and prevalent AI application architectures.
• Understanding of on-device AI/edge AI, including model deployment, inference, quantization, and performance optimization on mobile devices.
• Awareness of the trade-offs between model size, inference latency, memory usage, power consumption, and accuracy on resource-constrained devices.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Good comprehension of the mobile technology landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging innovations.
• Experience in developing shared C++ infrastructure or libraries that are utilized across Android and iOS.
• Experience with AI model deployment or inference optimization on Android, iOS, or other edge devices.
• Familiarity with model quantization, pruning, KV cache optimization, or similar techniques to enhance on-device AI performance.
• Knowledge of AI inference frameworks or runtimes such as llama.cpp, ONNX Runtime, TensorFlow Lite, Core ML, or comparable technologies.
• Proven experience integrating LLMs or AI agents into mobile applications.
• Familiarity with multimodal AI, speech AI, or other on-device AI technologies is advantageous.
• Experience contributing to popular mobile libraries or maintaining a widely used open-source project.
• Knowledge of performance analysis and optimization techniques for Android and iOS.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work effectively across C++, Android, iOS, graphics, browser engines, JavaScript engines, and AI technologies.
