Android Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain native Android components utilizing Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.

• Create scalable, modular applications adhering to Clean Architecture and Google's best practices.

• Integrate RESTful services and effectively handle API payloads using Retrofit and OkHttp.

• Compose thorough unit tests.

• Uphold high code quality through static code analysis and thorough code reviews.

• Configure and manage Gradle builds and CI/CD automation pipelines for seamless deployment.

• Leverage Copilot and Cursor to enhance development workflows, streamline code generation, and expedite unit test creation.

• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

• Perform app profiling and ensure efficient memory management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native proficiency in Kotlin, including knowledge of Coroutines and Flow.

• Extensive experience in crafting dynamic, declarative user interfaces using Jetpack Compose.

• Strong command of MVVM/MVI design patterns.

• Familiarity with Clean Architecture principles.

• Experience with multi-module project structures.

• Proven track record with Dagger Hilt for dependency injection.

• Solid experience in integrating REST APIs with Retrofit, OkHttp, and JSON serialization.

• Practical experience in unit testing using JUnit and MockK.

• Experience with static analysis tools such as ktlint, Detekt, SonarQube, and JaCoCo.

• Proficiency in Git workflows and Gradle configurations within multi-module settings.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including GitLab CI and Bitrise.

• Hands-on experience with AI-driven development tools like GitHub Copilot and Cursor.

• Self-motivated with the capability to deliver complex technical features from start to finish.

• Nice-to-have: expertise in memory management, performance profiling tools, mobile app optimization, reactive programming, and advanced architectural patterns.
