This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Assist with standard global procurement sourcing initiatives for designated categories by conducting spend and savings analysis.
• Share insights and findings with management.
• Contribute to established global sourcing strategies for the categories under management.
• Facilitate the global sourcing process for suppliers, which includes eSourcing RFI/RFP/RFX, negotiations, and contract execution.
• Collaborate with business leaders to ensure alignment with both short-term and long-term global category objectives and pipeline opportunities.
• Utilize research and market intelligence tools to track supplier industry trends and validate and benchmark costs as well as competitive pricing.
• Assist with projects, adhere to defined timelines, and provide status updates to partners and business leaders.
• Aid in the Category Review process through market research, business planning, pipeline development, and project presentations.
• Conduct Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses for proposed solutions.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in procurement processes to enhance efficiency and outcomes across the department.
• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in Category Management, indirect procurement, contract negotiations, and sourcing is necessary.
• Experience in supporting continuous improvement projects is preferred.
• Capability to evaluate and manage contractual, operational, financial, and risk aspects.
