Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Address unresolved and outstanding insurance claims for hospital and/or physician accounts.

• Offer follow-up services to patients and third-party entities regarding hospital and/or physician accounts.

• Collaborate as a member of the business office team.

• Utilize the Epic patient accounting system in daily tasks.

• Examine account balances and denials, taking necessary actions to reverse denials.

• Recognize adjustments and write-offs when appeals are denied or as dictated by policy.

• Independently manage a variety of special projects within the business office.

• Process a high volume of claims efficiently.

• Liaise with guarantors and third-party insurance departments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Comprehensive understanding of insurance follow-up procedures, including billing, collections, credit balances, managed care, Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance claims for hospital and/or physician accounts.

• Proficient in reviewing account balances and denials, with the ability to take the necessary steps to overturn denials.

• Skilled in identifying adjustments and write-offs when an appeal is denied or as required by policy.

• Strong analytical capabilities.

• Ability to comply with strict confidentiality and compliance standards related to HIPAA.

• Exceptional telephone and communication skills.

• Capacity to manage a high volume of claims effectively.

• Well-developed interpersonal skills to engage with guarantors and various third-party insurance departments.

• Basic knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding.

• Ability to work autonomously and achieve goals on a diverse range of special projects.

• Experience is advantageous; however, work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn are prioritized.

• Candidates must reside in Texas, Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Illinois, Michigan, or Alabama.
