This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +1 more state.
• Conduct remote reviews, evaluations, and interpretations of x-rays, ultrasound, MRI, DR, CT, and other diagnostic images submitted digitally.
• Utilize Dragon and other dictation software to document medical assessments.
• Collaborate with colleagues through the AIS Hive platform.
• Engage with clients and other veterinary professionals via phone, email, text, Zoom, MS Teams, and various other communication methods.
• Interface with imaging and laboratory personnel.
• Participate in AIS clinic rounds, journal clubs, employee meetings, and professional development activities.
• Attend ACVR continuing education and other relevant CE events.
• Contribute to quality control programs.
• Maintain clinical diagnostic proficiency and stay updated on theories, diagnostic methods, and available veterinary treatments.
• Support veterinary teleradiology and other diagnostic reference laboratory services.
• Engage in enterprise initiatives and special projects as assigned.
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent qualification.
• Must hold a license to practice veterinary medicine in the respective state.
• Proficient in the English language.
• Skilled in interpreting radiographs, ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and nuclear medicine.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong dedication to maintaining the highest standards of medical quality while adhering to the veterinary code of ethics.
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Well-organized with the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently with clients and management is essential.
• Capability to work effectively in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
• Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology or European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging preferred.
• Previous experience with Dragon software is advantageous.
• Familiarity with DICOM viewers is desirable.
