This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and maintain dependable ingestion pipelines utilizing Snowflake Openflow, Python, and Snowflake, incorporating API, PostgreSQL, and CDC-based integrations.
• Create incremental synchronization, manage cursor/state, implement retry logic, handle schema drift, propagate soft deletes, and ensure source-to-target reconciliation.
• Convert raw source data into reliable datasets for analytics, reporting, and machine learning tasks.
• Conduct data quality assessments and maintain definitions for sources, documentation, lineage, metadata, and data contracts.
• Establish monitoring, alerting, automated regression testing, data masking, redaction, access controls, and safeguards for PII/PHI.
• Guarantee that AI/ML outputs can be traced back to source data, model or prompt versions, feature sets, and evaluation outcomes.
• Outline recovery procedures, escalation protocols, and operational runbooks for essential pipelines and models.
• Facilitate human review and approval for sensitive or impactful model outputs.
• Work in collaboration with Product and Engineering teams to deliver AI-enabled features within the GLOBO platform.
• Develop and implement LLM integrations utilizing AWS Bedrock and Anthropic Claude, along with agentic workflows using CrewAI and LangChain.
• Produce high-quality production code with thorough testing, documentation, and error management.
• Set up guardrails, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms for production AI services.
• Optimize Snowflake, dbt, Openflow, ingestion processes, model selection, prompts, token utilization, batching, caching, inference frequency, and provider routing.
• Define service-level expectations for critical datasets, transformations, batch jobs, and model-serving processes.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in data engineering, software development, or ML engineering.
• High proficiency in Python.
• Strong command of SQL.
• Experience in LLM integration using AWS Bedrock, Anthropic Claude, or OpenAI API.
• Familiarity with dbt for data transformation and testing purposes.
• Proficient with Snowflake or a comparable cloud data warehouse.
• Experience with AWS Lambda or serverless architectures.
• Understanding of model evaluation methods, prompt engineering, and AI safety best practices.
• Ability to operate independently in a decentralized environment.
• Demonstrated integrity, initiative, accountability, and follow-through.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Capacity to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
• Willingness to undergo requested background checks.
• Proficient in English.
• Preferred: Experience with Fivetran, agentic frameworks, Airflow, vector databases, AWS ECS/EKS, AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Ruby on Rails, Redis, PostgreSQL, React, Google Docs, and Apple/Mac Operating System.
