AI/ML Engineer – Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and create enterprise-level Generative AI solutions utilizing the native capabilities of Snowflake Cortex.

• Establish AI architecture, knowledge retrieval methods, embedding models, chunking techniques, and patterns for semantic search.

• Construct scalable, secure, and governed AI applications.

• Develop AI applications leveraging Cortex Complete, Cortex Search, Cortex Analyst, Cortex Agents, Cortex AI Functions, and CoWork.

• Create intelligent assistants and business copilots utilizing Snowflake's native AI features.

• Design and enhance advanced RAG pipelines incorporating hybrid semantic and keyword search.

• Formulate strategies for chunking, indexing, re-ranking, and optimizing context.

• Design, develop, and deploy autonomous AI agents utilizing Cortex Agents.

• Create workflows for Planner–Tool–Executor–Refiner.

• Integrate AI agents with enterprise tools, SQL, APIs, and business workflows.

• Assess, enhance, and monitor the performance of agents.

• Develop reusable prompt libraries and system prompts.

• Refine prompts for accuracy, consistency, latency, and relevance to business needs.

• Utilize Snowflake AI functions for tasks such as summarization, classification, translation, sentiment analysis, and information extraction.

• Design frameworks for AI evaluation employing LLM-as-a-Judge methodologies.

• Assess faithfulness, relevance, groundedness, toxicity, hallucination, response quality, and performance of Agentic AI.

• Implement Cortex Guardrails and practices for Responsible AI.

• Deploy AI applications across development, testing, and production settings.

• Set up CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment.

• Ensure governance, monitoring, observability, access control, and lifecycle management.

• Optimize inference performance, latency, and the consumption of Snowflake credits.

• Monitor AI workloads and enhance compute utilization.

• Design cost-effective architectures for AI.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in AI/ML, Data Engineering, or Data Platforms.

• At least 2 years of experience in building production-grade Generative AI or LLM-based applications.

• Proven experience in delivering enterprise AI solutions using Snowflake.

• Practical experience in designing, developing, deploying, and evaluating Agentic AI applications.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake Cortex native AI features, including Cortex Complete, Cortex Search, Cortex Analyst, Cortex Agents, CoWork, Snowflake AI Functions, Snowpark, and Snowflake Intelligence (preferred).

• Deep expertise in RAG, prompt engineering, vector embeddings, semantic search, hybrid search, re-ranking, context window optimization, chunking strategies, and Agentic AI frameworks.

• Practical experience with AI evaluation frameworks, LLM-as-a-Judge, response evaluation metrics, hallucination detection, groundedness evaluation, Cortex Guardrails, Agentic AI evaluation, Responsible AI practices, and AI quality monitoring.

• Experience in the production deployment of AI applications, AI governance and security, model lifecycle management, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and observability, performance tuning, cost optimization, and management of Snowflake credits.

• Proficiency in Advanced SQL, Python, Snowpark (Python), Python UDFs, REST APIs, Git, CI/CD, and Streamlit (preferred).

• Familiarity with both structured and unstructured data, including PDFs, documents, meeting transcripts, knowledge bases, and enterprise document repositories.

• Strong understanding of vector databases, embedding models, cosine similarity, high-dimensional indexing, and enterprise search architectures.

• Capability to engage directly with enterprise customers in a dynamic consulting environment.

• Proven ability to architect, build, deploy, and support enterprise-grade Generative AI applications on Snowflake.
