AI Technical Product Manager, 100% remote

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Assist in shaping AI functionalities by converting the QV.AC vision into actionable use cases, feature proposals, and product specifications.

• Collect user feedback and perform research to pinpoint significant challenges that AI can address.

• Draft product briefs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and user flows.

• Develop wireframes, mockups, and functional prototypes using design, coding, and AI-assisted tools.

• Collaborate with engineers to evaluate feasibility and technical trade-offs across various devices and models.

• Assess response quality, latency, memory usage, battery consumption, and privacy implications.

• Assist in evaluating opportunities, clarifying project scope, identifying dependencies, and maintaining a streamlined backlog.

• Guide assigned features through the development process, resolve product-related queries, review user experiences, and coordinate release readiness.

• Investigate AI products, models, tools, and interaction patterns, and recommend suitable technologies for QV.AC.

• Work closely with the Product Lead, engineering, design, and other relevant teams.

• Contribute to QV.AC, a local, on-device, privacy-preserving AI assistant within Tether’s peer-to-peer ecosystem.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of product management experience, preferably with a focus on AI software products in collaboration with technical engineering teams.

• Hands-on experience in building, launching, or prototyping AI-driven features, with the ability to articulate your contributions and insights gained.

• Proficient understanding of AI concepts including inference, harnesses, model capabilities and limitations, context, and evaluation.

• Genuine interest in local and on-device AI.

• Capability to transform vague ideas into clear user problems, proposed solutions, and actionable requirements.

• Strong product judgment, with an emphasis on usability, scope, and measurable user value.

• Confidence in creating prototypes using design or coding tools.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to discuss technical trade-offs with engineers and explain them to non-technical team members.

• Proactive, collaborative mindset and comfort in taking responsibility, asking questions early, and integrating feedback.

• Familiarity with product analytics, user research, and iterative software development methodologies.

• Preferred experience with local AI, on-device inference, or open-source models.

• Experience in developing AI assistants, conversational interfaces, or multimodal features is a plus.

• Familiarity with desktop or mobile product development is advantageous.

• Understanding of peer-to-peer technologies and decentralized applications is preferred.

• Experience in evaluating the quality of AI outputs and designing user experiences that account for uncertainty and errors is desirable.

• Experience working within a distributed team is preferred.

• Exceptional English communication skills.
