AI Technical Product Manager – 100% Remote

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Product Lead to convert the QV.AC vision into use cases, feature proposals, and product specifications.

• Collect user feedback, perform research, and pinpoint significant AI use cases.

• Draft product briefs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and user flows.

• Develop wireframes, mockups, and functional prototypes utilizing AI-assisted tools.

• Partner with engineers to assess feasibility and trade-offs related to response quality, latency, memory usage, battery consumption, and privacy considerations.

• Assist in evaluating opportunities, clarifying scope, identifying dependencies, and managing a focused backlog.

• Guide assigned features through the development process, address product inquiries, review user experiences, and coordinate feedback and release readiness.

• Investigate new AI products, models, tools, and interaction patterns.

• Offer insights on AI technologies that merit testing or adoption.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of product management experience, preferably with AI software products alongside technical engineering teams.

• Hands-on experience in building, shipping, or prototyping AI-driven features.

• Solid understanding of AI principles, including inference, harnesses, model capabilities and limitations, context, and evaluation.

• Interest in local and on-device AI solutions.

• Capability to transform a vague idea into a well-defined user problem, proposed solution, and actionable requirements.

• Strong product judgment with a focus on usability, scope, and measurable user value.

• Confidence in creating prototypes with design or coding tools.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to engage in discussions about technical trade-offs with engineers and convey these concepts to non-technical team members.

• A proactive and collaborative mindset.

• Familiarity with product analytics, user research, and iterative software development methodologies.

• Preferred: Experience with local AI, on-device inference, or open-source models.

• Preferred: Background in building AI assistants, conversational interfaces, or multimodal features.

• Preferred: Knowledge of desktop or mobile product development.

• Preferred: Understanding of peer-to-peer technologies and decentralized applications.

• Preferred: Experience in evaluating AI output quality and designing user experiences that account for uncertainty and errors.

• Preferred: Experience working within a distributed team environment.
