AI Tech Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Create the foundational structure and technical strategy for the AI layer within the Hume platform, particularly Hume Maestro.

• Actively engage with the codebase while establishing benchmarks for technical excellence, performance, and scalability in AI components.

• Collaborate with Product Managers and the Chief Scientist to ensure technical implementation aligns with product vision and priorities.

• Work alongside front-end and platform engineers to embed AI functionalities within the user experience.

• Promote best practices in AI/ML engineering, which include model evaluation, deployment pipelines, and maintainable coding structures.

• Potentially lead and mentor a specialized AI engineering team as the AI function grows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Senior or Lead Engineer with substantial knowledge in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

• Strong background in designing and implementing AI architectures.

• Focus on Large Language Models (LLMs), graph-based AI, or intricate data processing layers.

• Capability to connect high-level research/vision with production-ready engineering.

• Experience collaborating closely with Product and Science stakeholders.

• Aspiration to eventually lead and motivate a team.

• Communication skills essential for coordinating complex technical projects.

• Background in B2B SaaS or high-growth deep-tech sectors is highly desirable.
