AI Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Support clients in the design, implementation, security, and operational management of generative AI security solutions.

• Perform secure configuration reviews and security assessments for enterprise AI platforms.

• Lead threat modeling sessions focused on AI workloads.

• Evaluate AI coding tools and development environments regarding sandbox isolation, plugin allowlisting, secrets access, network egress controls, and CI/CD security.

• Provide guidance to clients on the secure integration of SaaS AI services and APIs into their enterprise applications.

• Assess controls for data ingestion pipelines, RAG architectures, and vector databases.

• Conduct shadow AI discovery engagements.

• Review AI platform security controls and guardrails, including IAM, DLP, conditional access, SIEM, logging, human-in-the-loop mechanisms, and runtime protections.

• Design, construct, and implement AI agent workflows.

• Conduct security architecture evaluations for AI agent deployments and produce reference architectures along with recommendations.

• Create secure configuration review reports, findings registers, AI security control matrices, reference architectures, risk assessments, control frameworks, and enablement roadmaps.

• Contribute to the development of clients’ long-term AI security strategies, maturity assessments, and investment advice.

• Act as a trusted advisor to business, AI/ML, IT operations, and information security stakeholders.

• Conduct stakeholder interviews and lead knowledge-transfer sessions.

• Stay updated on emerging AI security research, adversarial techniques, regulatory changes, and vendor advisories.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in security engineering, with a strong emphasis on cloud and/or application security.

• Practical experience in implementing, managing, securing, and supporting agentic AI solutions within an enterprise context.

• Familiarity with enterprise AI platforms such as Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, or Microsoft Copilot.

• Knowledge of AWS Bedrock, AWS SageMaker, Azure AI Foundry, or Google Vertex.

• Strong understanding of generative AI concepts, LLMs, context engineering, agentic tool usage, and core AI/ML principles.

• Operational experience with agentic coding assistants like Claude Code, Open Code, Cursor, or Codex.

• Awareness of AI-specific security issues such as prompt injection, data poisoning, supply chain security, model extraction attacks, excessive agency, and privilege escalation through tool chaining.

• Capability to produce client-facing assessment reports, findings registers, control matrices, and reference architecture documentation.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Preferred: AWS Certified AI Practitioner, AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer, Azure AI Engineer Associate, or Claude Certified Architect.

• Preferred: Experience in model fine-tuning.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Cedar or Rego and IaC tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or OpenTofu.

• Preferred: Experience in agentic AI architecture design and implementation.

• Preferred: Understanding of MCP client/server architecture.

• Preferred: Knowledge of AI security tooling, including AISPM, AI runtime protection, or AI control plane platforms.

• Preferred: Background in consulting, professional services, or managed services delivery.

• Up to 10% travel required.

• Sedentary work environment.

• Significant wrist, hand, and/or finger movement for at least 8 hours daily.

• Close visual acuity required for computer terminals and/or extensive reading for at least 8 hours daily.
