AI Researcher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Conduct research and develop prototypes for learning-driven methods related to perception, planning, and control in embodied agents and robotic systems.

• Work collaboratively on systems for orchestration, navigation, and manipulation.

• Utilize expertise in computer vision and machine learning within robotics frameworks.

• Assess and modify innovative vision and machine learning models for application in real-world robotics scenarios.

• Contribute to scholarly publications and/or patent applications.

• Enhance the team's research portfolio in embodied AI.

⛳️ Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a closely related discipline.

• A minimum of 1 year of relevant research experience (in industry, postdoctoral roles, or equivalent).

• Proficient in computer vision and/or machine learning.

• Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.

• Proficient in one or more programming languages, including C++, Java, or Python.

• Proven ability to deliver research results through peer-reviewed publications, patents, prototypes, or other quantifiable technical contributions.

• Preferred: experience with robotics systems, simulation environments, or the deployment of real-world robots.

• Preferred: knowledge of reinforcement learning, generative models, or multimodal/vision-language-action models.

• Preferred: experience working within a multi-disciplinary research team.
