AI Research Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Serving as the leader of the Docugami Europe AI research laboratory, overseeing a dedicated team of researchers and scientists.

• Developing innovative solutions to various scientific challenges in a dynamic environment.

• Facilitating partnerships with academic institutions and scientific organizations to remain at the cutting edge of research and development in the industry.

• Collaborating with engineering and product leadership to strategize and prioritize a long-term vision for scientific advancements.

• Engaging with engineers responsible for the integration and deployment of research outcomes into production.

• Disseminating the findings from the AI research lab through scholarly publications, participation in conferences, and conducting regular internal science reviews and educational sessions for the Docugami team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A PhD (or equivalent experience) in fields such as computer science, mathematics, statistics, electrical engineering, or related disciplines.

• Over 10 years of experience post-PhD, or equivalent demonstrable industry credentials.

• Extensive and current expertise in areas including but not limited to: generative artificial intelligence, natural language processing (NLP), machine translation, self-supervised learning, active learning, computer vision (CV), statistics, causal inference, and similar fields.

• Proficiency in programming and familiarity with contemporary machine learning frameworks.

• A proven research track record evidenced by publications in top-tier journals and conferences.

• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities, complemented by direct management experience.

• A genuine passion for technical and scientific excellence.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to report and share findings effectively.

• Fluent in both French and English, with residence in France.
