This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with stakeholders across global regions to identify business requirements and convert them into production-ready solutions.

• Develop data transformation infrastructure and oversee data ingestion processes for AI/ML initiatives.

• Convert models into production-ready APIs, microservices, and software applications.

• Monitor model performance, ensure scalability, and update systems to maintain accuracy.

• Construct and sustain IT infrastructure for AI development, including cloud platforms like AWS/GCP and containerization.

• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to define AI strategies and implement features.

• Document AI processes, standards, and controls following the Bank’s data governance policies.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and delivery cycles.

• Keep abreast of trends in Generative AI and LLMs, integrating advanced techniques that add business value.

• Support scalable and optimized AI/ML models.

• Develop algorithms for extracting, transforming, and loading large volumes of real-time unstructured data for AI/ML solutions.

• Execute experiments to evaluate deployed model performance and troubleshoot bugs.

• Utilize statistics, scripting, and programming languages as required by the organization.

• Work with relevant software platforms where models are deployed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Programming & System Analysis, Computer Studies, or a related field.

• At least 3 years of professional experience as an AI Engineer.

• Expertise in Python, including advanced syntax, popular libraries like Scikit-Learn, Object-Oriented Programming, S.O.L.I.D. principles, data structures, and algorithms.

• Proficient in Generative AI, large language models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation, MCP, and multi-agent systems using ADK, DialogFlow, or equivalent cloud services.

• Knowledge and hands-on experience with operating systems, programming and querying languages such as Java and SQL, Git, Agile, Waterfall, CI/CD concepts including Jenkins, testing, monitoring, design patterns, software architecture, and cloud technologies like GCP, AWS, or Azure.

• Understanding of machine learning theory and its practical application.

• Capability to conduct code reviews.

• Proficient in the end-to-end data lifecycle, advanced data engineering, traditional and cloud databases, query optimization, data preprocessing, feature creation, data visualization tools such as Tableau, and effectively communicating technical findings through data narratives.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within global cross-functional teams.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and user story documentation.
