AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance AI-driven features for current products.

• Integrate and maintain large language models (LLMs) and AI services in production applications.

• Implement conversational AI, AI voice capabilities, and intelligent workflow enhancements.

• Develop and optimize retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines and agent workflows.

• Connect AI functionalities with internal systems and external services.

• Monitor, diagnose, and resolve AI-related production challenges from identification to root cause analysis and solution implementation.

• Enhance application performance, reliability, latency, and operational costs.

• Collaborate with Product Managers and AI Scientists to elevate AI quality and user experience.

• Assess and incorporate new AI technologies that provide business value.

• Maintain technical documentation and participate in architecture discussions and engineering best practices.

• Develop production-ready AI capabilities for Pleased.com, a customer service SaaS platform utilized by clients globally.

• Operate within dedicated product and AI teams in a fast-paced, development-first startup atmosphere.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of software engineering experience.

• Proven experience in developing production AI applications using large language models (LLM).

• Strong expertise in Python programming.

• Experience with integrating AI APIs, such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google Gemini.

• Familiarity with RAG architectures and contemporary AI frameworks.

• Solid understanding of software architecture and distributed systems.

• Capability to independently investigate and resolve intricate production issues.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Proactive approach with strong ownership and accountability.

• All technical staff are provided with high-spec MacBook Pros, multiple monitors, noise-canceling headphones, and more.

• Technical staff based in the Philippines are expected to work onsite.
