AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Develop AI-driven systems that enhance and automate workflows for M3 USA’s healthcare divisions.

• Collaborate with non-technical business teams to identify processes and challenges.

• Create and implement solutions aimed at increasing business efficiency.

• Utilize AI coding agents to swiftly construct and refine production applications.

• Streamline business workflows through specialized tools, scripts, and integrations.

• Keep up-to-date with cutting-edge coding techniques, tools, and best practices.

• Assess emerging AI capabilities and determine their production applicability.

• Design LLM-based applications for document processing, intelligent assistants, and data extraction.

• Produce proof-of-concept projects that highlight AI viability and business advantages.

• Launch AI applications into production and provide support to end users.

• Track usage, collect feedback, and iterate on existing solutions.

• Convert business requirements into technical specifications.

• Convey progress and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.

• Ensure that solutions comply with security, privacy, and healthcare regulations.

• Oversee and maintain deployed solutions.

• Manage expenses and contribute to the selection of AI tools and platforms.

• Collaborate across M3 USA subsidiaries, including Wake Research, PracticeMatch, and The Medicus Firm.

• Report directly to the CTO.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Extensive practical experience with Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, OpenCode, or comparable AI coding agents.

• Developed multiple applications using agentic coding and able to articulate techniques, workflows, and trade-offs.

• A tangible portfolio of AI-driven projects, including GitHub repositories, deployed demonstrations, or production systems.

• Experience in deploying AI-powered applications for real end users.

• Understanding of the operational challenges involved in sustaining AI systems in production.

• Proven success in automating manual processes through custom scripts, integrations, or low-code platforms.

• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, web application development, SQL and databases, LLM APIs, prompt engineering, context engineering, and REST APIs.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Ability to quickly learn new languages and frameworks with the assistance of AI.

• Knowledge of transformers, neural networks, agentic loops, and context.

• Capacity to assess model capabilities and limitations based on architectural insights.

• Practical experience in building agentic workflows, multi-agent systems, or AI assistants that utilize tools.

• Insight into when to implement agentic patterns versus simpler methodologies.

• Ability to comply with security, privacy, and healthcare regulations.
