AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Create immersive worlds for Cyberpunk 2 by designing systems and features that allow designers to construct and fill the open world.

• Seamlessly integrate customized content with a dynamic open world.

• Develop foundational systems that govern spawning and behavioral AI.

• Collaborate with designers and developers to identify requirements and facilitate effective population of the open world.

• Establish and sustain significant systems encompassing spawning, AI, and systemic gameplay.

• Track open-world performance and memory utilization, optimizing as required and formulating enhancement strategies.

• Lead technical initiatives through code evaluations, mentoring, and reviews of technical proposals.

• Create debugging and designer tools for non-deterministic systemic gameplay.

• Produce high-quality, optimized, and bug-free code that aligns with project objectives.

• Encourage cross-functional cooperation to ensure tools effectively enhance game systems and components.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 7+ years of professional programming experience in the gaming industry.

• Strong expertise in C++ programming.

• Familiarity with Unreal Engine.

• Experience in procedural content generation and systemic gameplay.

• Proficiency with current-generation console hardware.

• Background in developing AI systems within games.

• Understanding of geometric algorithms and data structures.

• Experience in writing multithreaded systems.

• Skills in profiling and optimizing code.

• Ability to think innovatively and strategically to tackle technical challenges and drive technological advancements.

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of conveying complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
