AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement scalable applications and services powered by AI.

• Convert vague business challenges into solid technical solutions.

• Construct and manage backend systems, APIs, integrations, and AI workflows.

• Collaborate across frontend, backend, cloud, and AI projects to provide comprehensive solutions.

• Rapidly prototype and refine AI-driven products and internal accelerators.

• Participate in architectural decisions, engineering standards, and reusable system patterns.

• Guide junior engineers and foster technical growth within the team.

• Enhance scalability, reliability, performance, and the developer experience.

• Partner with stakeholders to balance business requirements, technical trade-offs, and project timelines.

• Assess and integrate emerging AI tools, frameworks, and engineering methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive professional experience in Python and backend engineering.

• Proven experience in designing and developing scalable APIs and distributed systems.

• Practical experience in creating AI/LLM-driven applications or automation workflows.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS.

• Strong grasp of software architecture, system design, and engineering best practices.

• Ability to navigate through ambiguity and adapt swiftly to evolving environments.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Prior experience in building production-ready systems and working within cross-functional engineering teams.

• Advanced proficiency in English is required for daily interactions with global teams and stakeholders.

• A minimum of 3 years of professional software engineering experience.

• Frontend experience with React or similar technologies is considered a plus.

• Familiarity with Snowflake or modern data platforms is an added advantage.

• Experience in mentoring engineers or leading technical projects is highly valued.
