AI Developer – Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Greece, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop product features and resolve bugs for Omilia’s Drive-Thru Voice AI solution aimed at quick-service restaurants, which includes testing and deploying updates.

• Integrate the solution with client systems.

• Create prototypes of AI features and optimize LLMs for voice ordering, transforming promising prototypes into production-ready solutions.

• Analyze real drive-thru conversations, evaluate performance, and pinpoint areas for enhancing accuracy and user experience.

• Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to gather business requirements and implement application logic.

• Adjust focus across engineering, AI/LLM development, conversation analysis, and customer-related tasks as project demands evolve.

• Communicate effectively in English in both technical and customer-facing situations while meeting tight deadlines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Natural Language Processing, a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience as a Software Developer or AI Engineer.

• Strong proficiency in spoken and written English.

• Exceptional communication skills; experience in customer-facing roles.

• Driven, enthusiastic, and eager to learn, with a talent for analytical and creative problem-solving and a keen attention to detail.

• Ability to meet demanding deadlines with accountability.

• Experience with conversational automated dialog systems, whether voice- or chat-based, is advantageous.

• Familiarity with production-level NLU/NLP solutions is a plus.

• Experience in fine-tuning or training NLP/LLM models.

• Knowledge of embeddings, vector databases, and RAG.

• Proficiency in Java 17 is a significant asset.

• Experience interfacing with external systems such as web services (REST and SOAP).

• Familiarity with SQL databases.

• Experience using GitLab and CI/CD processes.

• Knowledge of the Spring Framework.

• Proficiency in Spanish is desirable.
