AI & Automation Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain AI agents that perform specified course development and quality assurance functions utilizing Microsoft Copilot Studio and the sanctioned Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

• Create and assess prompts and instructions for AI agents, embedding written quality standards for uniform implementation.

• Review AI outputs against expert evaluations prior to deployment, document accuracy, and re-evaluate when standards or source materials change.

• Construct repeatable automated workflows that link AI outputs to existing systems, including Power Automate and scripting.

• Set practical standards and reusable methodologies for AI and automation development, testing, and documentation.

• Examine manual processes to identify which are suitable for AI, traditional automation, or human intervention.

• Oversee AI-assisted workflows in production, encompassing error management, accuracy drift, throughput, and process modifications.

• Document agent and workflow operations for team reference, troubleshooting, and future enhancements.

• Act as a technical advisor to learning designers and production teams, offering guidance and training on AI and automation tools, as well as human-review protocols.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in automation, technology, data, AI, or similar technical roles, including hands-on experience in developing and implementing solutions in a business context.

• Must be a resident of Australia.

• Proven experience in creating functional applications of artificial intelligence in a business environment, with demonstrable examples of tools that are actively in use.

• Practical expertise in prompt design and testing, ensuring consistent and reliable output from large language models.

• Capability to assess AI outputs for accuracy and discern when they are not suitable for release.

• Advanced beginner proficiency in Microsoft Copilot Studio or equivalent agent-building platforms.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, with advanced skills in Excel and intermediate or higher proficiency in Microsoft Power Automate.

• High proficiency in Python, capable of processing and manipulating structured documents and data.

• Experience utilizing ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot to integrate tools and develop solutions.

• Ability to document and transfer technical work to ensure maintainability by others.

• Experience in establishing technical standards, reusable methodologies, or best practices for AI and automation solutions.

• Bachelor’s degree in technology, computer science, data/analytics, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Intermediate or higher proficiency in scripting languages such as R, SQL, JavaScript, or PowerShell.

• Work experience using AI tools like Gemini and Claude.

• Familiarity with learning management systems such as Moodle and Canvas.

• Understanding of Salesforce and its role as a customer relationship management system.

• Experience implementing artificial intelligence in a regulated enterprise environment rather than using open consumer tools.

• Background in education, learning design, or course production.

• Experience training non-technical colleagues in using and critically evaluating AI tools.
