AI & Automation Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Create and implement automation and AI-driven solutions from prototypes and MVPs to full production deployment.

• Convert business-process requirements and use cases into suitable technical solution designs.

• Develop workflows, integrations, applications, and AI-enhanced solutions utilizing low-code/no-code platforms as well as custom development when necessary.

• Integrate applications, APIs, data sources, AI services, and business systems into comprehensive automated processes.

• Design and maintain custom components and services, including Python-based solutions and serverless functions as needed.

• Test, document, deploy, monitor, and continuously enhance the developed solutions.

• Assist business teams with solution design, provide technical guidance, and offer hands-on support to empower them to create simpler automations and applications independently.

• Create reusable components, development patterns, and best practices to expedite automation throughout the organization.

• Collaborate closely with the Process Application Product Owner and relevant business and IT stakeholders to provide reliable, scalable, and maintainable solutions.

• Identify technical risks, limitations, and opportunities while recommending practical solutions based on business value and implementation effort.

⛳️ Requirements

• Generally, 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in software development, automation engineering, low-code development, AI application development, or a similar technical role.

• Proficient in designing end-to-end technical solutions and making architectural decisions across low-code platforms, APIs, AI services, cloud components, and custom development.

• Strong practical development skills and proven experience in transitioning solutions from prototype to productive use.

• Familiarity with workflow and orchestration platforms such as Power Automate, Make, Voiceflow, or similar tools.

• Experience in developing business applications using Power Apps or similar low-code application platforms.

• Hands-on experience integrating AI/LLM services like Microsoft Copilot, Anthropic Claude, or equivalent AI platforms into business processes and applications.

• Solid practical experience in Python development.

• Good knowledge of APIs, webhooks, authentication, JSON, data integration, and system-to-system communication.

• Experience in testing, deployment, monitoring, documentation, and maintaining production applications.

• Ability to judiciously choose between low-code/no-code, AI-based, and custom-developed solutions based on the specific use case.

• Capability to clearly explain technical concepts and assist non-technical business users in developing their own solutions.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a structured, hands-on approach to work.

• Proficient in business-fluent English and effective communication skills when engaging with business and technical stakeholders.

• Proactive attitude with a strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and accountability.
