Agile Project Manager / Delivery Lead, Data & Decision Intelligence

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to assess, specify, and enhance business and product requirements.

• Oversee and direct agile delivery initiatives across various projects and stakeholders, including Sparkflow's data engineering and analytics efforts.

• Set up, maintain, and improve Azure DevOps Boards or similar agile tools for managing backlogs, planning, and reporting.

• Lead teams in Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid agile methodologies, focusing on continuous enhancement and value delivery.

• Facilitate planning sessions, stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, and other agile ceremonies.

• Offer delivery leadership and coaching to advance agile methodologies within teams.

• Collaborate with clients to prioritize the reporting and analytics roadmap.

• Act as a reliable client-facing partner by effectively communicating progress, risks, dependencies, and expectations.

• Prepare and present status updates and metrics, including data quality, completeness, semantic model coverage, report adoption, velocity, and burndown rates.

• Identify and mitigate delivery risks and obstacles related to data quality, source systems, and client environments.

• Educate and support clients in agile delivery concepts, tools, and best practices.

• Manage delivery scope in accordance with signed statements of work, escalate scope changes, and assist with change order documentation.

• Coordinate delivery among blended onshore/offshore teams, including handoffs, communication, and time-zone ceremony scheduling.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in managing data analytics and data engineering projects, including BI/reporting platforms, semantic or dimensional data modeling, and data engineering pipelines.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.

• 3-5 years of experience leading agile software development projects.

• Demonstrated ability to apply agile delivery techniques across various team structures and project types successfully.

• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycles, terminology, technical constraints, and data and BI delivery lifecycles.

• Practical experience with agile project management tools such as Azure DevOps Boards or Jira.

• Capability to lead, influence, and collaborate with cross-functional distributed onshore/offshore teams.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and mentoring skills.

• Ability to remain collected, analytical, and solution-oriented when facing conflict or uncertainty.

• Proficient in prioritizing and managing multiple initiatives concurrently.

• Experience in a client consulting or professional services setting is advantageous.

• Familiarity with hybrid or traditional project delivery frameworks is beneficial.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Project is an advantage.

• Familiarity with Power BI, SQL Server/Azure SQL, and Analysis Services is a plus.
