This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Supervise daily administrative operations and assist with human resources activities.
• Oversee the management of office supplies, equipment, and facilities.
• Organize and schedule meetings, appointments, and events, including the preparation of agendas.
• Keep both physical and digital records organized, including SharePoint files.
• Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, such as emails, phone calls, and mail.
• Aid in budgeting, financial reporting, expense tracking, invoice processing, reimbursements, payments, and bank reconciliations.
• Collaborate with finance partners to ensure accurate financial record-keeping.
• Oversee donor databases and process donations to enhance fundraising efforts.
• Assist with invoicing and reporting for sub-grantees.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, maintenance of personnel records, and staff development initiatives.
• Provide administrative assistance to program teams and help with program planning, implementation, and assessment.
• Coordinate logistics for events, workshops, and outreach efforts.
• Facilitate communication with partners, stakeholders, and the community.
• Co-develop agendas, minutes, and reports for board meetings alongside the Network Director and Board of Directors.
• Assist in nonprofit compliance, grant applications, and reporting obligations.
• Must be located in California.
• At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in nonprofit operations or a related business administration role, particularly with tribes, Native organizations, or Native peoples.
• Possess a 2- or 4-year degree, or have equivalent additional work experience.
• Personal or professional experience and a strong commitment to supporting Native people and tribes.
• Excellent organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
• Experience in processing invoices and reconciling bank statements.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within California.
• Preferred familiarity with QuickBooks or SharePoint administration.
• Experience working with tribal, state, and federal governments.
