This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan, +2 more states.
β’ Assist in both synchronous and asynchronous web conferencing sessions through Class Zoom.
β’ Evaluate assignments and deliver timely, high-quality, personalized feedback.
β’ Maintain regular communication with students and educators to keep pacing plans and schedules updated.
β’ Utilize data to track assignment completion and enhance student interactions.
β’ Review and adjust curriculum for students with IEPs or 504 plans.
β’ Create alternative enrichment activities and lesson modifications for students who are struggling or at risk.
β’ Stay informed about general curriculum and possess in-depth knowledge of assigned courses.
β’ Interact with students via phone, chat, and WebMail.
β’ Ensure student well-being and safeguard personal information in compliance with FERPA and Copyright & Fair Use laws.
β’ Keep performance and participation data up-to-date by grading assessments and documenting student and parent interactions.
β’ Conduct regular office hours, totaling at least three hours per week.
β’ Leverage online communication tools to foster relationships and encourage student success.
β’ Cultivate a welcoming and supportive online community for students and their families.
β’ Execute additional tasks as assigned.
β’ Must be highly qualified and certified to teach Social Studies, holding a valid state teaching certificate in Texas, Michigan, or Pennsylvania.
β’ Completed a traditional teacher preparation program (not through alternative certification) at an accredited college or university.
β’ Bachelor's degree is required.
β’ Capability to obtain certification in other states upon request.
β’ Provide prompt student feedback and grade assessments within stipulated timeframes.
β’ Attend supervisor check-in meetings bi-monthly or as scheduled.
β’ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment that demands flexibility, prioritization, self-direction, and creativity.
β’ Familiarity with IEP/504 plans in a virtual context.
β’ Strong technological proficiency; experience with Microsoft Office programs or Google Apps is preferred.
β’ Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
β’ Keen attention to detail coupled with strong time management and organizational abilities.
β’ Adopt a customer-focused approach and a commitment to enhancing student achievement.
β’ Work remotely from anywhere within the United States.
