Adjunct Lecturer, Course Developer – Raising Capital

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +18 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and instruct the graduate-level Raising Capital course within the M.S. in Technology Management program.

• Establish course objectives that are in line with the overall learning outcomes of the program.

• Develop activity maps that connect course activities to objectives, ensuring relevance to the industry.

• Prepare a comprehensive syllabus, including course description, schedule, grading criteria, and assessments, for review and approval by the committee.

• Work alongside Instructional Design to create course materials.

• Ensure alignment of course objectives, materials, and assessments.

• Produce engaging instructional media, such as videos, infographics, and interactive resources.

• Maintain existing courses through regular updates and troubleshooting.

• Facilitate class lectures, instructional activities, and classroom discussions.

• Assess student work and assignments.

• Address student concerns and inquiries, serving as the primary contact for student questions.

• Conduct weekly office hours.

• Prepare, manage, and enhance the course content in Canvas.

• Complete Canvas training if new to SPS.

• Attend program faculty meetings.

• Develop the course over two semesters, spanning from Fall 2026 to Spring 2027.

• Potentially teach the course in Summer 2027 or Fall 2027.

• Create the course for both online and in-person instruction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive background in raising capital for start-ups or holding a senior role in a venture capital firm.

• A graduate degree in IT (e.g., computer science, software engineering, AI), business management, finance, or related fields.

• Minimum of 15 years of industry experience, emphasizing digital transformation and innovation in large corporations.

• Strong academic background in a pertinent discipline.

• Proven expertise in subject matter relevant to the course.

• Professional experience with a track record of success in an applied industry environment.

• Over 10 years of relevant professional experience.

• At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably at the graduate level.

• Must reside in one of the following states to teach online classes: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, or Washington.
