This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan, +2 more states.
β’ Provide support for instructional programs through both synchronous and asynchronous web conferencing sessions utilizing Class Zoom.
β’ Complete grading tasks and deliver prompt, high-quality, personalized feedback on student assignments.
β’ Maintain regular communication with students and educators to keep pacing plans and schedules updated.
β’ Utilize data to track assignment completion and enhance student interactions.
β’ Assess curriculum and identify modifications for students who require IEP or 504 accommodations.
β’ Collaborate with team members and administrators to create enrichment activities and adapt lessons for students facing challenges or at risk.
β’ Build a comprehensive understanding of general curriculum and in-depth knowledge of assigned courses.
β’ Engage with students through phone, chat, and WebMail communications.
β’ Safeguard student well-being and personal information while adhering to FERPA and Copyright & Fair Use regulations.
β’ Maintain up-to-date records of student performance and participation by grading assessments and documenting student and parent interactions.
β’ Conduct regular office hours for at least 3 hours each week.
β’ Leverage online communication tools to cultivate relationships and promote student success.
β’ Create a welcoming, supportive online community for students and their families.
β’ Execute additional duties as assigned.
β’ Must be highly qualified and certified to teach German, possessing a valid state teaching certificate in TX, MI, or PA.
β’ Completion of a traditional teacher preparation program (not alternative certification) at an accredited college or university is required.
β’ A Bachelor's degree is necessary.
β’ Capability to obtain certification in other states as needed.
β’ Ability to provide timely feedback to students and grade assessments within specified timeframes.
β’ Attend check-in meetings with a supervisor bi-monthly or as scheduled.
β’ Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment that demands flexibility, prioritization, self-direction, and creativity.
β’ Familiarity with IEP/504 plans and their implementation in a virtual learning context.
β’ Strong technological proficiency, with preference given to candidates skilled in Microsoft Office programs or Google Apps.
β’ Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
β’ Exceptional attention to detail along with strong time management and organizational skills.
β’ A customer-focused mindset and a commitment to fostering student achievement.
β’ Access to a laptop, headset, second monitor, mouse, keyboard, and reliable high-speed internet for remote work.
