This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Guide and facilitate impactful learning experiences aligned with the course outcomes in the curriculum.
• Actively support all aspects of the educational environment.
• Deliver learning-focused instruction that prepares graduates to meet the changing demands of the marketplace.
• Create and implement instructional plans, lesson activities, and approved online course-shell instruction.
• Encourage student proficiency and establish criteria for performance and evaluation.
• Develop classroom settings that promote learning and student engagement.
• Organize and prepare for classes to ensure student success.
• Foster student achievement through adaptable teaching methods, enthusiasm for teaching, and student involvement.
• Maintain precise records, submit grades and reports punctually, and uphold academic and attendance policies.
• Connect professional, personal, and industry experiences to the learning process while staying informed about industry trends and opportunities.
• Engage in faculty development to improve learner-centered instructional skills.
• Maintain consistent communication with supervisors, faculty, and administrators.
• Take part in curriculum and system task forces, campus orientations, graduations, workshops, and meetings.
• For graduate programs, a terminal degree from a regionally accredited institution in the relevant discipline is required, including a concentration in the teaching discipline (minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline).
• For undergraduate programs, a master's degree from a regionally accredited institution in the relevant discipline is required, including a concentration in the teaching discipline (minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline).
• Prior experience in instructional or formal educational processes, preferably within a post-secondary or college institution.
• Valid, active, and unencumbered state licensure or certification as required for the discipline.
• Preferred teaching experience of at least six months at South University or another post-secondary institution, with online teaching experience being a plus (for online only).
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, including the capacity to build successful relationships with students.
• Strong conflict resolution skills.
• Effective time management and attention to detail.
• Proficient computer skills, including software, analytical, and report writing capabilities.
• Experience with computerized learning systems.
• Excellent critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
• Proven teaching effectiveness as demonstrated by previous teaching evaluations.
