This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Uphold a robust academic presence while engaging in professional growth through teaching, scholarly or creative activities, and service.
• Report directly to the department chair and collaborate under their guidance.
• Engage with students in a professional and appropriate manner.
• Create a safe and effective online learning atmosphere.
• Address student inquiries promptly and reach out to inactive students as necessary.
• Evaluate course functionality and content to ensure exceptional delivery.
• Enrich course materials with personal insights, experiences, and professional expertise.
• Oversee assignments and provide constructive feedback to students.
• Analyze and report on student performance data.
• Uphold program and institutional policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Assist students in understanding ethical conduct regarding plagiarism and copyright issues.
• Direct students to additional resources as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues and college leadership, including participation in mandatory meetings.
• Advocate for the college's vision, mission, and culture.
• Provide leadership within your area of influence.
• Keep up professional and technical knowledge through workshops, seminars, publications, networks, and professional organizations.
• Stay informed about emerging departmental issues and trends.
• Encourage and support research to maintain program and course quality.
• Communicate with students and ACE staff in real-time using online and electronic platforms.
• Possess a terminal degree(s) in a discipline relevant to the department.
• Hold an active Principal or Superintendent License.
• Have experience as a K12 principal along with a current principal license.
• Accumulate 1+ years of experience in teaching and leadership within a formal educational environment.
• Demonstrate experience with both traditional and non-traditional teaching formats.
• Higher education teaching experience is highly desirable.
• Show proven ability in forming online/virtual professional relationships.
• Provide evidence of professional research and/or creative pursuits along with expertise in the field.
• Exhibit outstanding communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with great attention to detail.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively with department staff.
• Ability to perform well under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines.
• Maintain a minimum internet speed of 50 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload at the remote work location.
