Adjunct Faculty – Criminal Justice

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate and instruct meaningful learning aligned with course outcomes.

• Support all aspects of the learning environment.

• Provide learning-focused instruction in accordance with South University's curricula and delivery model.

• Design instructional plans and activities that achieve course outcomes and lesson objectives.

• Deliver approved instruction within online course platforms.

• Employ classroom technology to enhance student learning.

• Establish criteria for student performance and assess learning progress.

• Plan and prepare classes to foster student success and engagement.

• Maintain precise records and submit grades and reports punctually.

• Uphold academic and attendance policies.

• Connect professional, life, and industry experiences to the learning process.

• Pursue ongoing professional and technical skills development while staying updated on industry trends.

• Engage in faculty development, curriculum and system task forces, campus events, workshops, and meetings.

• Communicate effectively with supervisors, faculty, and South University administrators.

⛳️ Requirements

• A terminal degree is mandatory.

• Experience in instruction or a formalized educational process, preferably at a post-secondary or college level.

• Active, valid, and unobstructed state licensure or certification related to the discipline is required.

• Membership in a professional association related to the area of instruction is preferred.

• A minimum of six months of teaching experience at South University or another post-secondary institution is preferred.

• Familiarity with university guidelines, course descriptions, and academic terminology is essential.

• Knowledge of office administrative processes, including accurate record-keeping.

• Basic computer literacy, including word processing, web browsing, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Expertise in online learning environments, digital media creation, and learning management systems.

• Strong critical thinking, research, and interpersonal skills.
