Adjunct Assistant Professor – MSN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Facilitate online courses for post-licensure programs.

• Provide online instruction in RN-BSN or MSN programs across various Unitek Learning colleges or Workforce Solutions.

• Teach students utilizing the existing curriculum for designated classes.

• Enhance instructional quality through creative methodologies and teaching strategies.

• Aid in the review and revision of syllabi and instructional guidelines.

• Assess students’ progress towards curriculum and course objectives and communicate updates promptly.

• Contribute to strategic planning and evaluation of instructional initiatives.

• Maintain records of student attendance and grades, and assist with program data collection.

• Leverage the Learning Management System to present relevant and up-to-date course content.

• Ensure ongoing communication with students via office hours, electronic correspondence, and other suitable methods.

• Engage in professional development and fulfill continuing education requirements for license renewal.

• Collaborate with a diverse, multicultural, and multigenerational student body.

• Act as a subject matter expert on university and accreditation standards/reporting.

• Conduct weekly recorded synchronous sessions on Zoom, MS Teams, WebEx, or comparable platforms for courses featuring unit/final exams.

• Maintain a minimum of two office hours each week.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Assistant Dean.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside OUTSIDE the state of CA.

• Registered Nurse with current and unencumbered licensure, or eligible in all states where MSN programs are offered.

• Registered Nurse with current and unencumbered licensure in California.

• A Master's Degree in Nursing is required.

• A Terminal Degree in Nursing (DNP, EdD, PhD) is necessary.

• Up-to-date knowledge of nursing practices.

• Capability to mentor students effectively.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Minimum of 3 years of direct patient care experience as an RN.

• At least 1 year of prior online teaching experience in pre-licensure nursing utilizing a Learning Management System (LMS) is required.

• Proven background in educational methodology, including educational theory and practice, contemporary concepts related to subjects taught, current clinical practice experience, and distance education techniques and delivery.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Products, particularly Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and other necessary MS office products.
