Acute Care Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Serve as the representative for ANI’s PCG (Purified Cortrophin Gel) focused on Acute Gouty Arthritis, engaging with Primary Care, Family Practice, General Practice, Internal Medicine, Podiatry, and Orthopedic physicians and other healthcare professionals.

• Propel market development, enhance disease awareness, and implement patient identification strategies within the designated territory.

• Advocate for ANI’s PCG for Acute Gouty Arthritis through clinical education and strategic engagement with selected healthcare professionals.

• Develop and execute territory-specific strategies to increase physician awareness, identify patients, and foster market expansion.

• Provide education to providers and their staff on treatment access, insurance coverage, and necessary documentation requirements.

• Collaborate with Market Access, Patient Support Services, and Medical Affairs to facilitate smooth patient onboarding and initiation of therapy.

• Keep comprehensive communication logs and follow-up documentation to support ongoing patient care.

• Conduct cold calls and engage new accounts in Primary Care, Podiatry, and Orthopedics.

• Work in tandem with cross-functional teams to ensure logistical preparedness and patient assistance.

• Play a role in establishing and expanding a new commercial presence within the growing Acute Care business.

• Uphold compliance and integrity in all professional interactions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical and/or medical device sales is required.

• Prior experience with Primary Care, Podiatry, or Orthopedic practices is highly desired.

• Willingness to travel overnight (40–60%) based on the needs of the territory.

• A valid driver’s license is essential.

• Robust understanding of patient access, prior authorizations, and appeals processes.

• Familiarity with gout flares, including their clinical manifestations and treatment options.

• Competence in navigating complex insurance and documentation requirements.

• Experience in coordinating care among various stakeholders is advantageous.

• Knowledge of specialty distribution and patient support services is a plus.
