Actuarial Services Manager – Corporate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Oversee the actuarial aspects of financial reporting and analysis cycles.

• Provide actuarial evaluations of Incurred But Not Reported (IBNR) liabilities.

• Examine trends and pinpoint discrepancies from established benchmarks.

• Predict shifts in health care costs and usage patterns.

• Develop models for proposed interventions to assist in goal setting and budgeting.

• Lead teams and propose team direction and objectives in alignment with the organizational mission.

• Train, supervise, inspire, and mentor employees.

• Ensure timely completion of assigned regulatory reporting for CMS and OHA.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in actuarial services related to health care.

• Professional experience in health insurance.

• Associate of the Society of Actuaries.

• A minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role or at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity with completion of CareOregon’s Aspiring Leaders Program.

• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.

• Familiarity with Medicaid and Medicare.

• Experience in estimating IBNR, risk adjustment transfers, and other health care liabilities and assets.

• Proficient in analyzing health care cost and utilization data.
