This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Analyze financial, economic, and market data to assist in forecasting and business decision-making.

• Develop and uphold metrics, reporting, and analytical models to facilitate business intelligence.

• Assess industry, economic, financial, and competitive trends that impact organizational performance.

• Construct, refine, and maintain actuarial and forecasting models utilized in financial analysis.

• Primarily work in Databricks to create Net Present Valuation models for Medicare Supplement, Dental & Vision, and Medicaid.

• Ensure data integrity by establishing and implementing processes and controls related to data flow and quality.

• Investigate data discrepancies, conduct root cause analysis, and execute practical, cost-effective solutions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to comprehend business requirements, resolve model challenges, and enhance outcomes.

• Identify opportunities to enhance model performance, accuracy, and efficiency.

• Independently oversee moderately complex to complex assignments and ascertain suitable technical approaches.

• Provide analytical insights that influence departmental strategy and forecasting methodologies.

• Report directly to the Actuary, Analytics/Forecasting.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree.

• Associate of Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation.

• Eligibility for Humana's Actuarial Professional Development Program (APDP).

• Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).

• Excellent written and verbal professional communication abilities.

• Enthusiasm for contributing to an organization dedicated to continually enhancing consumer experiences.

• Sponsorship is not available for this position.

• Standard business hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, with some flexibility based on business requirements.

• Advanced proficiency in SQL or SAS for analyzing, managing, and interpreting complex data sets and models.

• Strong skills in model building.

• Familiarity with Python or Oracle.
