Actuarial Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist with GAAP or Statutory/Tax Actuarial Valuation and Financial Reporting processes for Fidelity & Guaranty Life.

• Implement GAAP or Statutory/Tax valuation procedures for assigned lines of business.

• Report directly to the Actuary, Actuarial Valuation, or Senior Associate Actuary.

• Generate monthly reserves under GAAP or Statutory/Tax standards.

• Create information for the preparation, review, and analysis of reserve fluctuations.

• Maintain and improve valuation controls and execute them punctually.

• Aid in the upkeep of valuation programs for new products and regulatory requirements.

• Complete additional assigned projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, actuarial science, or a related technical field.

• Successful completion of five ASA examination prerequisites.

• At least one year of relevant actuarial experience.

• Strong technical, analytical, organizational, computer, and teamwork skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

• Ability to learn and effectively utilize actuarial software systems.

• Experience with indexed products is preferred but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with GGY-AXIS or similar actuarial modeling software is preferred.

• Self-motivated individual who demonstrates strong initiative and maintains a high energy level.

• Collaborative team player capable of functioning as a key member of a small group.

• Strong sense of ownership for assigned responsibilities.

• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work in a standard professional office environment.

• Must be able to sit for extended periods.
