Acquisition Editor, Life Sciences

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Identify and recruit new authors, guiding them through the manuscript submission process for JoVE Journal.

• Reach out to potential Guest Editors and partner with them to develop Methods Collections, which represent JoVE's unique take on special issues.

• Build and sustain a robust network of scientists and journal authors to enhance content acquisition and increase submission rates.

• Work alongside the peer review team to ensure the smooth publication of manuscripts.

• Achieve or surpass monthly acquisition goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Ph.D. in the Life Sciences.

• Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication skills.

• Results-oriented, with the capability to operate autonomously in a dynamic environment.

• Excellent organizational, influencing, and problem-solving abilities.

• Knowledge of the publishing process is advantageous.
