This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Evaluate the existing end-to-end Accounts Receivable (AR) process, including invoicing, collections, billing systems, and month-end closing, to identify structural gaps, inefficiencies, and risk areas.
• Develop and execute a redesigned AR process featuring updated workflows, controls, and documentation.
• Enhance AR operations by adopting best practices while balancing immediate improvements with sustainable, scalable process design.
• Build a compelling case for process modifications with Finance leadership and promote acceptance across impacted teams.
• Manage the entire invoicing cycle, which includes creating and distributing monthly and ad hoc B2B invoices, ensuring accuracy, and processing adjustments and credits.
• Keep precise customer billing records in accordance with contract terms and services rendered.
• Oversee billing operations across Stripe and NetSuite, which includes managing customer accounts, payment methods, ACH/direct debit authorizations, payment links, refunds, credits, and account consolidations.
• Act as the primary escalation point for issues related to billing, payments, invoicing, and synchronization across Stripe, NetSuite, and Salesforce.
• Lead the Finance aspect of the Stripe–NetSuite connector project in collaboration with Engineering.
• Manage the aging receivables portfolio and proactively follow up on late accounts.
• Address customer payment inquiries and resolve billing disputes.
• Negotiate payment plans and escalate higher-risk accounts as necessary.
• Supervise Egencia access and permissions in a Single Sign-On (SSO) environment, assist travelers, troubleshoot booking issues, and coordinate with the vendor.
• Reconcile AR balances, generate supporting reports, and contribute accounting entries and audit documentation during month-end closure with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate closely with Finance, Sales, Development, Legal, and Engineering leadership.
• 4-5 years of experience leading a transformation in AR or credit control processes, preferably in a multi-entity or multi-currency context.
• Significant, proven experience in AR, collections, or B2B invoicing, including time spent in a managerial or leadership role.
• Essential deep, hands-on fluency in NetSuite; strong familiarity with Stripe is also expected.
• A confident, senior collaborator capable of representing Finance credibly with Sales, Development, and Legal leadership, and who can navigate through an ambiguous transition with minimal preparation time.
• Comfortable diagnosing ineffective or outdated processes and making the case for change instead of merely managing existing processes.
• Experience in healthcare, imaging, or another regulated industry is a bonus, though not mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to assist with external audit requests and prepare accounting entries and reconciliations during the closing process with a considerable level of independence.
• Applicants must have legal authorization to work in Canada at the time of hiring and must not require employer sponsorship for a work visa (current or future).
• Successful candidates will be subject to a background check in accordance with applicable federal, provincial, and state regulations.
• An opportunity to make a positive impact on individuals' lives and their health.
