Accounts Payable Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Accurately and promptly process supplier invoices, ensuring they match purchase orders and have the necessary approvals.

• Oversee the complete payment run process, guaranteeing that suppliers receive their payments correctly and within the established terms.

• Maintain precise vendor records, which include banking details, tax documentation, and compliance information.

• Reconcile accounts payable ledgers and address any discrepancies with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

• Professionally respond to supplier inquiries and resolve payment issues in a timely manner.

• Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable, including accruals and reconciliations.

• Ensure that accounts payable processes adhere to internal controls and relevant tax regulations, including VAT, across different jurisdictions.

• Identify areas for enhancing accounts payable processes and minimizing manual tasks as transaction volumes increase.

• Aid in audits by providing accurate documentation and addressing auditor inquiries.

• Essential experience in an accounts payable or a broader accounting role.

• Strong attention to detail and a dedication to accuracy in a high-volume setting.

• Proficient understanding of accounting software and accounts payable/invoicing systems.

• Comfortable managing multiple supplier relationships and resolving inquiries in a professional manner.

• Solid grasp of fundamental accounting principles and internal controls.

• Organized with the ability to meet deadlines, especially around month-end and payment run cycles.

• Experience working across various entities or jurisdictions is advantageous.

• Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom; pre-employment screening will include verification of employment history and a criminal record check where allowed by local law.
