This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Collaborate closely with team members to deliver support and analysis for the Company.
• Engage in learning and practical experience under the guidance of a seasoned Controller.
• Develop and refine accounting and finance skills.
• Execute the complete range of Accounts Payable duties and responsibilities.
• Accurately and promptly process Accounts Payable and expense transactions.
• Ensure that expense claims are mathematically correct and have the necessary approvals.
• Address supplier and employee inquiries in a courteous and timely manner.
• Handle the processing of expenses, invoices, and remittances.
• Manage GST/HST and provincial/state tax returns along with remittances.
• Maintain organized files for supplier invoices and expense reports.
• Assist with document shipping as needed.
• Provide support to the Finance team and business unit leadership.
• Post-secondary education focused on business/accounting or a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Familiarity with Great Plains or similar accounting software; experience with Sage500, Simply Accounting, or Sage Accpac is advantageous.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
