Accounting Staff Member

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Conduct technical demonstrations alongside the sales team for firms requiring a tax expert present.

• Onboard firms in groups of 5 to 10, serving as their main contact until they achieve success.

• Guide firms through an 8-week onboarding process.

• Host webinars and training sessions.

• Act as a liaison for customer feedback between firms and the engineering team.

• Possess thorough product knowledge to ensure reliability, including identifying outputs that wouldn't pass quality checks.

• Offer insights to the product team to alleviate onboarding challenges.

• Assist firms in managing actual tax work through Filed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in preparing or reviewing real tax returns within an actual firm setting.

• Credentials are advantageous but not mandatory.

• Strong expertise in either individual returns (1040) or business returns (1065, 1120, 1120-S, 990, 1041).

• Comfortable engaging with customers, including conducting demos, training sessions, handling tough conversations, and managing escalations.

• High confidence in using major tax software platforms such as CCH Axcess, UltraTax, Lacerte, ProConnect, Drake, or GoSystem.

• Ability to quickly adapt to new software.

• Comfortable making decisions with incomplete information.

• Empathetic and inquisitive; focus on user needs rather than only technical correctness.

• Highly collaborative with teams in product, engineering, and tax.

• Detail-oriented yet practical.

• Take ownership of work and embrace accountability.

• Bonus: Experience with SurePrep, GruntWorx, or AutoFlow implementations, or deploying new software across a firm.
