Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and oversee a team of bookkeeping professionals tasked with providing weekly bookkeeping services to UPLINQ’s clientele.

• Manage the team, client relationships, and scope of work to ensure that both internal and external deadlines, including tax-related ones, are consistently met.

• Develop and implement scalable bookkeeping processes to deliver high-quality services efficiently.

• Drive client solutions and handle client interactions as required, particularly for high-value clients.

• Offer insights to engineering and product teams to enhance the internal bookkeeping system and automation, ensuring alignment with accounting standards.

• Oversee the transition of high-quality bookkeeping clients to the UPLINQ Tax team for tax filings, advisory services, and additional offerings.

• Initially manage some clients to ensure they comprehend UPLINQ’s system and receive exceptional bookkeeping.

• Individual applicants only.

• Must possess experience in Client Accounting Services.

• Individual applicants are required to reside in the United States.

• Extensive experience with comprehensive bookkeeping processes, including categorization, reconciliation, AR/AP, payroll-related journals, financial statement review, and handoff to tax advisors.

• Proven experience in hiring and expanding an accounting team.

• Experience in creating and executing accounting processes within a team, including SOPs, quarterly close, and monthly close.

• Familiarity with collaborating closely with tax advisors and tax-focused CPAs.

• An open-minded attitude, adaptability, and enthusiasm for leveraging technology in accounting fundamentals.

• Willingness to manage select clients initially to ensure they are well-acquainted with UPLINQ’s system and receive quality bookkeeping.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Client Accounting Services, preferably in a managerial role.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with evolving systems and processes.

• CPA designation is highly preferred.

• Entrepreneurial experience is strongly preferred.

• Experience in a venture-backed startup is an advantageous bonus.
