Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the month-end closing process for the South Bend business unit, which includes handling journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial statements.

• Supervise daily accounting operations alongside the AP and AR team.

• Oversee invoicing for software and services, ensuring that billing is timely and that purchase orders correspond with sales orders.

• Monitor profit margins from software resale and services.

• Guarantee the prompt payment of recurring invoices from publishers and vendors.

• Maintain reconciliations for the bank and balance sheet, while also ensuring compliance with sales tax regulations.

• Assist the Pine accounting team during the annual audit.

• Act as a primary user of Acumatica, contributing to the design of workflows and reports in collaboration with internal Acumatica consultants.

• Recognize and execute process enhancements as the business grows.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a relevant field.

• Over 5 years of progressive experience in accounting.

• Proven experience managing a complete month-end close, including the production of financial statements.

• Practical experience with AP, AR, cash management, and bank reconciliations.

• Background in supporting an external audit.

• Familiarity with GAAP and sales tax regulations.

• Proficient in advanced Excel functionalities.

• Willingness to work during East Coast hours.

• Experience in a software reseller, VAR, or professional services setting (preferred).

• Experience with Acumatica or other mid-market ERP systems (preferred).

• Background in a private equity-backed or multi-entity organization (preferred).

• CPA certification or progress towards CPA (preferred).

• Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in enhancing processes.
