Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Oversee a portfolio of client accounts while ensuring precise and timely accounting and reporting.

• Direct and manage the entire accounting cycle and month-end close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, accounts payable/receivable, and financial statement preparation.

• Evaluate accounting outputs to guarantee quality, accuracy, and consistency in client deliverables.

• Prepare and assess financial statements, management reports, and financial analyses.

• Collaborate directly with founders, CFOs, and senior finance teams to address inquiries, resolve challenges, and provide accounting insights.

• Manage client deadlines, priorities, and deliverables, proactively communicating when attention is required.

• Assist with year-end compilations, audits, reviews, and tax-related activities.

• Identify avenues for enhancing accounting processes, systems, and controls.

• Mentor and support junior accounting team members.

• Tackle complex accounting challenges and help determine the appropriate solutions.

• Contribute to advisory and finance projects.

• Foster strong, long-lasting client relationships and act as a trusted accounting point of contact.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.

• Extensive experience in full-cycle accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting.

• Significant experience in client-facing accounting, public accounting, audit, or advisory settings.

• Experience in a Big Four accounting firm is essential.

• Proven ability to manage full-cycle accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting confidently.

• Capable of reviewing work, managing priorities, and ensuring accurate and timely client deliverables.

• Comfortable engaging directly with clients, founders, CFOs, and senior finance professionals.

• Excellent communication skills in English.

• The role requires fluency in English for both internal and client interactions.

• Experience in reviewing or mentoring other accountants.

• Ability to provide guidance, deliver constructive feedback, and take responsibility for the quality of team outputs.

• Availability to work with at least partial overlap with Eastern Time business hours.

• Familiarity with QuickBooks Online, Xero, Taxprep, or CaseWare is a plus.

• Experience with SaaS, technology, fintech, or Web3 companies is an advantage.

• CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA is beneficial.
