Accounting and Reporting Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Croatia.

📋 Description

• Generate precise and timely financial and management reports for internal stakeholders.

• Evaluate results, costs, variances, trends, and KPIs, transforming them into clear, actionable insights for management.

• Assist in the preparation and upkeep of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.

• Gather budget assumptions and contributions from stakeholders throughout the organization.

• Track actuals against budget and forecast, providing explanations for significant variances.

• Process and record entries in NetSuite.

• Conduct account and cost reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

• Apply accounting principles to ensure financial data is accurately recorded.

• Collaborate with external accountants regarding data and compliance requirements.

• Discover and implement methods to automate repetitive finance and reporting tasks.

• Assist with daily accounting tasks while liaising with internal stakeholders and external accountants across various countries.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 2 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, financial analysis, or a related finance position.

• Strong reporting and analytical abilities, with the capacity to convey insights to non-financial colleagues.

• Solid understanding of accounting principles.

• Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control processes.

• Experience with an ERP system such as NetSuite or SAP.

• Advanced Excel skills and experience handling large or complex datasets.

• Keen attention to detail, coupled with the ability to comprehend the bigger picture.

• Capability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet reporting deadlines.

• Proficient in English, both spoken and written.

• Resume submitted in English.

• Nice to have: FP&A experience.

• Nice to have: Experience in automating reporting, reconciliations, or data collection using Power Query, SQL, Python, or BI tools.

• Nice to have: Experience with international entities and external accountants across different countries.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with tax regulations and financial compliance.

• Nice to have: Knowledge of Croatian payroll regulations and payroll processing.
