Business Intelligence Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Offer support across multiple business channels, regulatory reporting, and AI implementation.

• Develop and sustain SSAS Tabular models, dashboards, and analyses to monitor partner and sales performance.

• Oversee and manage reporting for shelters, breeders, and sales, including channel-performance dashboards and analyses.

• Create and maintain compensation models for shelter, breeder, and sales initiatives.

• Provide continuous analytical support to shelter, breeder, and sales teams.

• Assist with Bordereaux, MCAS, and NAPHIA reporting, encompassing regular submissions, related analyses, and ad hoc requests.

• Aid in the development of enterprise data models.

• Detect opportunities to optimize the semantic codebase and recurring reporting processes.

• Enhance data quality and accessibility.

• Address and fulfill ad hoc analytics requests from cross-functional partners.

• Propel BI-led AI projects and facilitate AI implementation throughout the organization.

• Conduct data quality assessments, performance tuning, data governance, and automation tasks.

• Collaborate with the AVP of Business Intelligence, data engineering, compliance, and business partners to provide trustworthy data and scalable solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in a business intelligence, data analytics, or data engineering position.

• Strong proficiency in SQL, including the ability to create procedures and views, schedule jobs, and manipulate data.

• Experience in developing dashboards/reports using a BI tool like Power BI or Tableau.

• Advanced skills in Excel.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Background in the insurance sector and/or experience with enterprise data (preferred).

• Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, or Gemini (preferred).

• Experience in building and maintaining SSAS Tabular models (preferred).

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technical discipline, or equivalent experience (preferred).
