Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Ensure accurate, compliant, and current financial records across various entities, currencies, and international payment platforms.

• Enhance accounting and financial processes.

• Assist in financial planning.

• Contribute to the development of a scalable finance function.

• Execute daily accounting operations.

• Oversee accounting activities across multiple entities, currencies, and global markets.

• Conduct bank-account and payment-platform reconciliations.

• Investigate discrepancies and resolve operational finance issues.

• Aid in month-end closing and financial reporting.

• Partner with colleagues, external accountants, and stakeholders across various countries and time zones.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity or international business setting.

• Proficient working knowledge of Xero.

• Experience in managing multi-currency accounting, including handling foreign exchange gains and losses.

• Practical experience with payment platforms such as Wise and Airwallex.

• Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and accounting principles (GAAP and/or IFRS).

• Advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.

• Experience with month-end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting support.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities independently while maintaining accuracy.

• Effective communication with colleagues, external accountants, and stakeholders across different countries and time zones.

• ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CA, or another recognized accounting qualification is advantageous.

• Experience with multi-entity group structures, intercompany accounting, VAT, GST, international tax compliance, Xero integrations, finance automation, budgeting, forecasting, or financial analysis is a plus.
