This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of inventory accounting and COGS accounting in NetSuite for e-commerce, wholesale, and marketplace channels.
• Oversee monthly inventory rollforwards and reconcile physical inventory counts, inventory subledgers, and the general ledger across various locations.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies while maintaining thorough documentation.
• Lead landed cost accounting for components, labor, packaging, freight, and duties from manufacturers.
• Prepare and record monthly journal entries for inventory, COGS, freight/duty accruals, prepaids, and reclasses.
• Manage assigned accounts and assist in meeting month-end close deadlines.
• Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and logistics to accurately document receipts, shipments, returns, and adjustments.
• Support audits and external inquiries with inventory, COGS, and GL schedules.
• Implement and document inventory accounting internal controls and procedures.
• Recommend enhancements to NetSuite setup, workflows, and close checklists.
• Act as the primary accounting resource for NetSuite inventory workflows.
• Assume responsibility for additional balance sheet and P&L accounts, as well as wider general ledger and corporate accounting activities.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is mandatory.
• 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, encompassing general ledger accounting and direct involvement with inventory or cost accounting.
• A solid understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement support.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite is highly preferred.
• Experience with imported inventory, foreign manufacturers, and landed cost accounting—including freight and duties—is strongly preferred.
• Proficient Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities are required.
• Exceptional attention to detail, an ownership mindset, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and finance partners.
• Must reside anywhere within the United States.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. is necessary.
• Standard working hours align with 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
