This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the lead G/L accountant for several network companies undergoing transition.
• Address payroll and benefits liabilities, expenses, accruals, deferred revenue, accounts payable, liabilities, prepaids, inventory, customer deposits, and chart-of-accounts mappings.
• Communicate findings to the Sr. Transition Controller and promptly highlight significant issues.
• Assist with GL/ERP migrations, system integrations, and testing processes.
• Reconcile balance-sheet accounts, including cash, credit cards, fixed assets, tax liabilities, and payroll liabilities.
• Enhance and streamline accounts payable tools and credit-card transaction workflows.
• Coordinate payment releases with the Presidents of network companies.
• Configure GL account structures, segments, dimensions, and reporting hierarchies.
• Optimize ERP, accrual, estimation, inventory, and COGS recognition processes.
• Generate financial insights and establish dependable reporting baselines.
• Maintain audit-ready financial records and assist with audit, tax, and due-diligence inquiries.
• Identify control weaknesses and automate manual procedures.
• Collaborate with MFP Controllers, GL Accountants, Teamshares, and onsite network company personnel.
• Train onsite staff, document SOPs and training resources, engage in knowledge-transfer sessions, and oversee the month-end closing process.
• Contribute to refining the onboarding playbook and KPIs.
• Proven experience as a primary G/L accountant for multiple network companies undergoing transition.
• Proficient in accruals, reserves, reclasses, and intercompany entries.
• Familiarity with AR best practices, including payment application and collections management.
• Experience with accounts payable tools such as bill.com and Charted.
• Skilled in syncing and reconciling cash, credit cards, and payroll with GL accounts.
• Experience in mapping legacy charts of accounts to a standardized chart of accounts.
• Expertise in configuring GL account structures, segments, dimensions, and reporting hierarchies.
• Background in ERP-driven and accrual/estimation process enhancements.
• Understanding of inventory processes and COGS recognition.
• Ability to support audit, tax, and due-diligence requests with comprehensive documentation and digital audit trails.
• Skilled at identifying internal control weaknesses and process gaps.
• Capability to train onsite personnel on new workflows and closing responsibilities.
• Proficient in documenting SOPs and training materials.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving technological and process changes.
• Strong aptitude for explaining accounting concepts clearly to staff and colleagues.
