This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee client invoicing, accounts receivable, and the processing of cash receipts.
• Handle vendor invoices and manage accounts payable.
• Coordinate payments for contractors.
• Assist in payroll processing and support.
• Examine and process employee expense reports and reimbursements.
• Conduct reconciliations for bank statements, credit cards, and balance sheets.
• Prepare and record journal entries, and assist with prepaid and accrual accounting.
• Aid in month-end closing and financial reporting activities.
• Investigate discrepancies to ensure accurate recording of transactions.
• Maintain records using QuickBooks Online.
• Update and manage financial forecasts and reporting via Google Sheets.
• Ensure consistency of financial data across various systems.
• Enhance and maintain financial system integrations.
• Troubleshoot issues and streamline accounting workflows.
• Assist in the implementation of new financial systems and processes.
• Organize the Finance Drive and ensure documentation is audit-ready.
• Uphold clear accounting processes and maintain thorough documentation.
• Identify areas for improving accuracy, organization, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Snowball stakeholders and clients, fostering greater autonomy in daily accounting operations.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field.
• Strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles and the monthly accounting cycle.
• Experience in various accounting domains.
• Practical knowledge of account reconciliations and the month-end closing process.
• Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Proficient in QuickBooks Online or a similar accounting platform.
• Strong skills in Google Sheets or Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
• Highly organized and adept at managing recurring deadlines.
• Inquisitive and comfortable with problem-solving.
• Proactive in identifying issues and proposing solutions.
