Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Assist in the creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

• Generate weekly forecasts for operational cash flow.

• Perform accounting tasks such as managing payables, accounts receivable, revenue recognition, general ledger maintenance, and bank/float payments and reconciliations.

• Calculate and submit quarterly PST and GST/HST returns.

• Collaborate with external accountants and auditors to support the preparation of annual Notice to Reader statements.

• Provide data and analytics support to management and other departments.

• Aid the Director of Finance with special management reporting requests.

• Work closely with the Director of Finance on routine monthly accounting processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be pursuing CPA Electives (Completion of CPA Core Levels is necessary).

• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance and/or accounting.

• Strong grasp of essential accounting principles.

• An adaptable, inquisitive, and open-minded attitude in a dynamic environment.

• Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
